Garden of possibilities: an online course
My Garden of Possibilities course is the best gift you can give to yourself (or someone you love) anytime you are ready to close one chapter and begin the next. In this course, I want to help you complete the past, acknowledge the present, and plant seeds of possibility. In these lessons, you’ll make a richly layered painting spread, learn how to create gorgeous layers with collage and paint, and dive deep within with juicy writing prompts.
We will use a guided step-by-step artmaking process to meld the emotional and imaginative aspects of art and dreaming and writing and longing for what we want with the visual art aspects of making that longing come to life on the page. With this process I want you to follow your heart and make the work that feels true to you!
In this course, you will follow a rich process that includes journaling, visualization, and then layering paint and paper to make an original mixed-media art piece.
My video lessons guide you carefully and completely every step of the way. When you register, you will be instantly emailed a .pdf that contains instructions for how to access the course page. You’ll have instant access to all of the lessons immediately so you can work your way through the course in one day or take your time if you so choose. Once you have purchased it, you have forever access to the course.
As a self-study class, you'll have access to the course materials forever! Feel free to dive right in all at once, or take your sweet time, if you wish! The creation of this painting and the visual cue of seeing this painting again and again are powerful visualization and manifestation tools.

Course Details
The Course Packet is 32 pages long, with full-color, detailed step-by-step instructions that walk you carefully through the entire process. There are five instructional videos in the course. To complete the course, you can expect that your process may take 2-3 times as long as the video (this includes time to watch the video and then work on your own project). For example, the Painting Lush Layers video is almost 30 minutes long, so your process time will be 1 to 1.5 hours.
The Instructional Videos are:
Introduction and Materials (9:02 minutes): This is your “welcome to the course” video. In this video I introduce you to the overall process and talk about the materials you will be using.
Visualization and Written Worksheet (12:21minutes): This video contains a guided meditation as you reflect on past, present, and future, recording your thoughts on the written worksheet. This worksheet serves as a letter containing the seeds of possibilities that you will use in the last step.
Cut Flowers and Collage (18:49 minutes): This video walks you through the selection of your floral inspiration, drawing and cutting your floral collage, and planning your composition.
Painting Lush Layers (29:43 minutes): This video guides you step-by-step through the process of painting both your paper flowers and the background for your final composition.
Collage and Final Steps (17:53 minutes): This video walks you through the process of collaging your paper flowers into your final piece, as well as final marks. In this last video, you’ll also collage an envelope and the letter from your second video.
And you will have exclusive access to two live, interactive Zoom video calls with Annamieka, that are each one hour in length. The videos are on the online course page for convenient access.

What materials do I need to plan on purchasing for this course?
You will get a detailed materials list when you register for the course.
We use a range of mixed-media art supplies in this course, including acrylic paint.
You can paint very affordably, if you paint with craft paint or paints that are on sale, and if you are able to find re-used surfaces to paint on.
You can also spend a LOT of money if you buy the top quality professional paints, brushes, and canvases.
At a minimum you are going to want a painting surface, (I paint on paper but you could use a wood panel or canvas), some collage type papers and collage medium or glue, an empty greeting card envelope, along with at least a half a dozen colors of paint, brushes, pens, and drawing pencils and paper. You’ll definitely want titanium white paint for the dry brush blending technique that I demonstrate but the other colors are up to you.
Keep in mind that if you don’t have what I’ve suggested on hand, use your creativity and use whatever supplies you have, you can always find something else that will work.
How much does the course cost?
The course costs $149.
How long will I have access to the course?
As a self-study class, you'll have “forever” access to the course. This means that you will have access to the course for as long I have my business, which I intend to do for a very long time! And it’s self-paced too so you can dive right in all at once, or take your sweet time, or return to it again and again, if you wish!
If you have more questions – ask me! I’d love to hear from you! I will keep adding to this FAQ as new questions are submitted.
